Sea foam in my eyes - Leighton Contemporary
This year I made a promise to myself to make more time for my fine art practice and most specifically creating one off/original pieces. With the ever looming AI take over of life, I’ve found the urge to disconnect and create analogue art. Art that can’t be duplicated, digitised or diluted. This meant focusing in on shooting film, using various darkroom printing techniques, collaging my own work and creating composites, as well as bringing in the use of my hand with acrylic paint and pencil to bring to life a new body of work that I’m proud to present to you now.
I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with Jess Leighton and her Gallery - Leighton Contemporary, in the sunny costal haven of Noosa to bring you a small new capsule of work - “Sea Foam in my Eyes”, on display now in the gallery and available online as well. You can see the full collection here.
Here are a few of the works and some behind the scenes of the WIP of these pieces so you can get a bit of an idea of what goes on in my art practice.
If you’d like to purchase any of these works, please contact Leighton Contemporary - gallery@leightoncontemporary.com
